Where the money goes
Andreessen Horowitz announced more than $15 billion in new funds on 9 January. Ben Horowitz’s statement allocates $6.75 billion to Growth, $1.7 billion each to Apps and Infrastructure, $1.176 billion to American Dynamism and $700 million to Bio + Health. Another $3 billion covers other venture strategies.
A fundraise is a starting point
These figures describe capital raised by the investment firm, not money already delivered to startups. Horowitz linked the strategy to US technology leadership, naming AI and crypto alongside defence, health and other industries. His claim that the firm accounted for over 18% of US venture dollars allocated in 2025 is the firm’s own calculation. The announcement does not name an investment timetable for each fund.
