The process around the model
Mistral launched Workflows in public preview on 27 April, adding an orchestration layer for multi-step AI processes. Developers write workflows in Python and can publish them to Le Chat, while Studio records the execution history. The system is designed to handle timeouts, longer jobs and steps requiring human input.
One described pattern pauses a process for approval and resumes from the same point without using compute while waiting. That addresses an operational problem a stronger model alone cannot solve: keeping a business process intact when a network call fails or a reviewer is unavailable. Mistral supplied customer examples, but an application still has to define its checks, retry rules and approved actions. The preview provides process infrastructure rather than a universally safe business automation.
