Trips outside the workforce
Ramp announced its acquisition of Juno on 16 March, adding a platform focused on travel for people who are not employees. Its release identifies candidates, contractors, customers and visiting researchers among the groups whose trips can sit outside a company’s ordinary expense workflow. Juno’s team joined Ramp that day. Ramp presented the acquisition as an expansion of its travel products and its relationships with travel management companies. Ramp issuer release.
The coordination layer
Juno was founded by Sam Felsenthal, Devon Tivona and Kate Porter. Ramp’s announcement says Felsenthal and Tivona had previously built Pana, another guest-travel platform acquired by Coupa in 2021. The new deal brings that specialist experience into a business already offering cards, payments, procurement and travel booking. The practical opportunity is to connect arranging a guest’s trip with the financial tools that pay for it. Ramp did not publish transaction terms in the release, and its general claims about customer savings are not a measured result of the Juno acquisition. Ramp issuer release.
