Revolut receives a French
Revolut said on 10 August that Revolut Bank S.A. had received a full banking licence following assessment by French regulator ACPR and the European Central Bank. The company plans to serve customers through the new entity progressively, beginning with France.
Other Western European markets are intended to follow in later phases. Revolut Bank UAB in Lithuania remains part of a dual-hub structure rather than being replaced outright. The announcement also refers to more than €1 billion of regional investment commitments, more than 600 planned hires and a Paris headquarters scheduled for 2027. These are expansion plans alongside the licence; they should not be treated as a completed, simultaneous account transition across every European market.
