The announcement
Sierra announced on 4 May that it was raising $950 million from new and existing investors, led by Tiger Global and GV. The company said the valuation exceeded $15 billion and that it had more than $1 billion available to invest in its customer-experience business.
Sierra reported serving more than 40% of the Fortune 50 and described agents handling work beyond support, including insurance claims, mortgage servicing and retail discovery. Those customer and deployment figures come from Sierra. Its central commercial pitch is that agents can support longer customer relationships rather than isolated conversations. The announcement names several deployment examples, but those examples are not a standardised, independently measured performance comparison.
