Modernising acquiring infrastructure

Amsterdam-based Silverflow closed a $40 million (€37 million) Series B on 5 March, led by Picus Capital with participation from Rabo Investments and existing investors. The cloud-native payment processor plans to expand internationally, grow its workforce by more than half and add support for networks including China UnionPay and JCB.

Scale claims from the company

Silverflow said it was approaching one billion transactions a year and had grown to nearly 1.75 million daily transactions from about 180 per day over two and a half years. It named Deutsche Bank, Bolt, Payabl. and Buckaroo among its customers. Those volumes and customer examples come from the company’s announcement. The round funds a processor competing for acquiring banks and payment firms, a market where adding card-network coverage and geographic reach matters as much as the underlying API design.
