From model to warehouse
Skild AI announced on 15 April that it had acquired Zebra Technologies’ robotics division, formerly Fetch Robotics. The acquisition brings the Symmetry Fulfillment platform, which coordinates robots and frontline workers using operational data. Skild plans to combine that orchestration layer with its own robotics model.
Integration is the work
The target gives Skild more than a demonstration environment: it brings warehouse software and experience with physical operations. Skild says it wants to apply its model to manipulation as well as movement, including transfers between receptacles. That is an expansion plan, not a claim that all existing warehouse tasks are already automated. The release does not give a purchase price or customer-by-customer migration schedule.
