Two different funding buckets

Waabi announced a closed $750 million Series C led by Khosla Ventures and G2 Venture Partners on 28 January. Its headline funding package also includes future, milestone-based investment from Uber. Those commitments support an exclusive robotaxi partnership, while the equity round also funds the company’s autonomous-trucking work.

Deployment is still a programme

The companies described deploying at least 25,000 Waabi Driver-powered robotaxis over time. The announcement does not establish that those vehicles were already operating or that all associated capital had been paid. Waabi says its driving model can serve trucks and passenger vehicles, with improvements transferring between them. That is the company’s technical proposition; the release provides no independent safety comparison or completed rollout schedule.
