Vesting and distribution

Payward, the infrastructure company behind Kraken, announced on 18 February that it had acquired Magna. The platform helps crypto teams manage token vesting, claims, distributions and related operations across chains. Payward said transaction terms would not be disclosed. Magna would continue as a standalone platform, with existing customer integrations and workflows supported. Kraken Magna announcement.

The purchase moves Payward into operations that happen before and alongside exchange trading. Its announcement identifies onchain and offchain vesting, custody and escrow workflows, and token claims among Magna’s capabilities. The initial work would cover onboarding, security hardening and foundational integrations; later phases would connect the products more closely to fundraising and issuance. This is a product roadmap, rather than evidence that every service is already unified. For a team using Magna, the announcement confirms new ownership and continuity of its current tools. The proposed wider integration is relevant to future platform decisions, but Payward supplied no detailed delivery schedule for those later phases. Kraken Magna announcement.
