The announcement

Tether announced a strategic investment in t-0 network on 6 February. The platform connects licensed financial institutions through an API and uses USDT as settlement infrastructure. Its proposed customer experience remains in local currencies: senders and recipients need not each transact directly in a token.

According to the announcement, a shared ledger records and matches transactions, with partners settling their net balances in their chosen currencies. Tether argues this can reduce foreign-exchange exposure and capital requirements. Those benefits are the companies’ claims, not a published independent cost study. The release does not disclose the investment amount or provide a complete list of live corridors and participating institutions.
