Capital for investigations
TRM Labs announced a closed $70 million Series C on 4 February, valuing the blockchain analytics company at $1 billion. Blockchain Capital led, with returning investors including Goldman Sachs, Bessemer Venture Partners, Citi Ventures and Thoma Bravo, plus new investor Galaxy Ventures. TRM said the round would fund hiring and development of AI-supported compliance and investigation tools for public and private institutions.
Company-reported reach
The company reported customers among law-enforcement and national-security agencies in more than 50 countries, as well as financial firms and crypto businesses. It said revenue had grown at an average annual rate above 150% over five years. Those are issuer-reported figures, not audited metrics in the announcement. The company’s product proposition is tracing on-chain and off-chain activity to support investigations; the financing release does not provide independent accuracy or case-outcome measures for its AI systems.
