Devices and identity
Apple announced Apple Business on 24 March, combining mobile device management with business email, calendar and directory services. The platform was scheduled to arrive on 14 April in more than 200 countries and regions. Blueprints would let administrators apply preconfigured apps and settings, including zero-touch deployment for new employee devices.
Businesses could use their own domain for communication, while Managed Apple Accounts separate company and personal data. Apple also announced local advertising in Maps for the US and Canada, planned for the summer. That advertising timetable was separate from the platform’s April rollout. For a small company, the proposal bundles device setup and workplace identity; it does not remove the need to examine regional feature availability or optional paid storage and support.
