A shared screen for the home

Apple announced HomeView on 13 October, a smart-home display with a seven-inch screen and Siri AI. Its release offers tabletop and wall-mounted versions and says the device can recognise up to six people to show their personal apps and widgets.

India is among countries with preorders opening that day and availability planned for 13 November. The US starting price is $299 for either version. Access to personal context requires a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled device; the shared display alone does not supply everything needed for those features.

Cameras, controls and the television

Apple's Home Collection announcement adds accessories developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, including cameras, thermostats, temperature sensors, a video doorbell and a door lock. They are managed through Apple Home. The company describes encrypted home data and local or Private Cloud Compute processing of footage; these are Apple's privacy claims.

The new Apple TV 4K also uses Siri AI, with an A19 chip, built-in microphones and a remote supporting Find My. Apple specifies four-speaker surround arrangements using compatible matching speaker pairs. Its US price is $299, with retail availability also planned for 13 November.

The dates do not all match

Home Collection accessories are planned from December, with selected products arriving in early 2027. As of the 14 October archive cutoff, those dates and the November hardware deliveries remain ahead. The launch broadens Apple's home offering, but a complete installation depends on the chosen accessories, regional availability and later shipments. The announced ecosystem is larger than the products available to take home on announcement day.
