Creator Studio links Pixelmator editing to Apple’s other creative apps

The June update focuses on moving material between applications.

Fewer export detours

Apple updated Creator Studio on 30 June, allowing images in Keynote, Pages and Numbers to open directly in Pixelmator Pro for editing. Final Cut Pro users could also send a key frame into the image editor. The change connects an image’s source edit more closely to the presentation, document or video that uses it.

Final Cut also gained Generate Captions and Edit Detection, using on-device AI to transcribe audio or identify cuts in rendered video. Mac-specific additions included Auto Mask and Advanced Trimming. Logic Pro received Chord ID improvements and a Producer Project. Editors still need to check generated captions and reconstructed cut points, but the update addresses identifiable production steps rather than simply adding an assistant chat window to the suite.
