Galaxy S26 FE brings One UI 9 and seven-year support

Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 FE on 27 August as the first phone in the S26 family to ship with One UI 9. Its feature set includes a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate up to 120Hz, a 4,900mAh battery and 3x optical zoom. Samsung also highlighted My FanCam video reframing and expanded Galaxy AI functions.

The support promise is unusually clear about its start: Samsung says the model receives seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from its global launch date. Feature and offer availability can vary by region, and the company’s battery and camera descriptions are manufacturer claims.
