A scheduled business-PC release

HP announced EliteBook 6 G2q on 24 March at Imagine, using Snapdragon X2 Elite and X2 Plus processors with up to eighty-five NPU TOPS. The laptop was expected in July, with pricing to follow closer to availability. That separates its March introduction from the later hardware rollout.

HP describes a thinner chassis and HP Go 5G connectivity with carrier switching, subject to service conditions. It also adds physical intrusion detection intended to protect memory when the chassis opens. Those are different buying considerations from model acceleration: connectivity requires an appropriate service, and AI features require compatible software. The announcement expands HP’s commercial Arm portfolio while leaving buyers to assess the particular applications and peripherals their staff depend on.
